Derby Heritage Centre to Close

It has been announced that the Derby Heritage Centre is set to close on 31st October 2005. The 15th century schoolhouse which has been run as a heritage centre and tea rooms for the last 14 years by Richard Felix is sadly not financially viable and has had to be subsidised by Richard’s other two ventures, Derby Ghost Walks and Derby Gaol. The closure will however mean that Derby Gaol will now be open six days a week and bookings for the Derby Ghost Walks and overnight stays at the Gaol can be made there. The Ghost Walks that used to start and finish at the Derby Heritage Centre will relocate to the Tudor Bar at the Old Bell Hotel in Sadler gate.
